Rob is a founder of Shasta Ventures, and a 22-year veteran of the Silicon Valley venture capital industry. At Shasta Ventures, a leading early-stage firm, Rob focuses on Emerging Platforms which features Space. His investments include Accion Systems, Airspace, Elroy Air, Fetch Robotics, Nest, Starsky Robotics, Turo and Vector Space Systems. Earlier in his career, Rob served as a lead integration engineer in the Astro Space division of Martin Marietta, where he helped build the first EchoStar spacecraft. Rob earned a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. He also holds a MBA degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar.
